Faculty Promotion Salary Increases ProcedureProcedure Number: 2.15B-P Current Effective Date: 03/22/2024 Original Effective Date: 09/08/2023 Revision Dates: 03/22/2024 1. PurposeThis procedure administers the implementation of faculty promotion salary increases following a promotion in rank. 2. Scope This procedure applies to all faculty who have received a promotion in rank in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. 3. ProcedureFaculty members are eligible for promotion in rank in accordance with the promotion procedures specified in Administrative Policies 2.6 and 2.6.3. Newly promoted faculty members are eligible for a salary increase as a result of their promotion in rank. Applicable faculty increases are implemented on the effective date of the promotion (July 1 of the applicable year). Newly promoted faculty salary will be calculated as follows. - The increase to the minimum monthly salary indicated for the new academic rank from the KCTCS Salary Schedule approved annually by the KCTCS Board of Regents, multiplied by the period of assignment (10, 11, or 12 months) will be added to the base salary.
- Any KCTCS Board of Regents approved annual salary increase and any KCTCS Board of Regents approved Classification and Compensation Program related increases resulting from promotion (or other employment actions) that are effective on the same date as an annual increase.
- Then the applicable annual promotion salary increase listed in the following table will be added to the base salary.
