- Therapeutic Transportation Staff shall respond to requests from the Psychiatric Mobile Response Team, Fire Department and/or Law Enforcement Teams to transport clients who:
- Present with an acute behavioral health condition or disorder that would benefit from treatment;
- Are evaluated as safe for transport;
- May have been placed on an involuntary hold per Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 5150, 5585, or 5346;and,
- Are voluntarily willing to be transported.
- During transport, Therapeutic Transportation Staff shall:
- Explain what has transpired;
- Answer any questions the client may have;
- Consult and engage with supervisors as warranted; and,
- With client consent, assist with any urgent case management matters.
- Therapeutic Transportation Staff shall remain with the client in the following circumstances:
- During transport;
- Through admission at the mental health facility; and,
- Until appropriate services are provided.
