Published parameters of practice shall represent the consensus among DMH practitioners, clinicians, and other subject matter experts within a specific scope of clinical practice. Workforce members shall apply parameters to clinical practice regardless of the funding source for treatment. Workforce members shall utilize the parameters in conjunction with continuous: - Supervision and consultation
- Education and training
- Interpretations of current best practices
After consultation when a practice outside the parameter guidance is warranted, practitioners shall document in the clinical record specific consultation, justification, and reasoning for the provided interventions. Parameters shall direct workforce members to take special efforts to respect clients' unique values, spiritual beliefs, lifestyles, cultural and diverse backgrounds, and personal experiences when providing quality mental health care. |
