  1. PARAMETER GOAL
    1. To provide guidance for ongoing education of Medical Professions.
    2. To implement consistent time guidelines and improve access to care.
    3. To reduce variability between clinics.
    4. To propose Standard Time Parameters to include time spent on dedicated patient care and documentation.
  2. Continuing Medical Education (CME) Requirements
    1. Activities related to CME include:
      1. Home study:
        1. Study for Board Exams
        2. Board Re-Certification study or collecting CME requirements
        3. Reading journals, educational materials, self-paced study
        4. Enhancing medical skills through research, reading, videos
        5. Other types of self-paced study
      2. Attending CME conference, workshops, trainings
    2. All CME activities must be pre-approved by a supervisor:
      1. Conversation with supervisor for the on-going education expectations for time management when not seeing patients to be dedicated to education endeavors.
      2. Approvals for any periods over 1 hour dedicated to CME
      3. Timecard notation of time periods over 1 hour dedicated to CME activities
      4. Encouragement to provide a summary of home study activities to colleagues:
        1. Topic covered
        2. Explanation of how study contributes to work
        3. Whether to include home study/CME activities in Performance Evaluation
