A. Staff shall provide the Mental Health Plan Beneficiary Handbooks (various languages) to all beneficiaries by one of the following: - Mail a printed copy to the client address of record
- Email the handbook after receiving signed consent to receive email
- Advise the client the handbook is available on the internet
- Inform the client the handbook is available in paper form without charge upon request
- Provide the request within 5 business days
- Provide the handbook by any method that can reasonably result in the beneficiary receiving the information
B. The Mental Health Plan Beneficiary Handbook shall be accessible on the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health website: - The format is readily accessible
- The information is placed in a location on the website that is prominent
- The electronic form can be retained and/or printed
- The information is consistent with the content and language requirements of DMH
