Lincoln Public Schools is committed to providing a workplace and any education program or activity free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation for students and employees. Accordingly, discrimination, harassment, or retaliation of any kind by supervisors or coworkers is prohibited. The District protects employees from reported discrimination, harassment, or retaliation in the workplace by students and other non-employees.
Lincoln Board of Education policy and/or federal and state law specifically prohibit:
- Discrimination or harassment based on a person's actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, age, marital status, military or veteran status, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition, sexual orientation or gender identification in any education program or activity, including in employment; and
- Retaliation, including coercion, threats, intimidation, or interference, against any individual for reporting or otherwise seeking to end such discrimination or harassment.
