Sexual harassment or interpersonal violence involving a minor who is a student or otherwise participating in the College's education programs or activities will be processed consistent with this support document and the Sexual Harassment policy.

Anyone witnessing or otherwise knowing of a violation of this policy that involves a student or non-student individual under the age of 18, or under the age of 21 and physically or mentally impaired, should refer to the College’s Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse or Neglect Policy.

Any observed violations of the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse or Neglect policy must be reported to the Title IX Coordinator and/or to the Safety and Security Department as well as the person in charge of the program or activity.  Additionally, consistent with Ohio Revised Code section 2151.421, nurses, school authorities, school employees, and teachers (among other individuals) are legally mandated to report if they suspect or know that child abuse or neglect is occurring.  In Ohio, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has an automated phone directory to assist in making reports to child welfare or law enforcement office available at 855-O-H-CHILD (855-642-4453).  Please see the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse or Neglect policy for additional ways to report.  The College’s policies shall be construed consistently with state and federal law regarding mandatory reporting of child abuse or neglect and shall not limit a mandatory reporter’s obligations to report to the relevant state agency.
