HR Compensation is committed to providing guidance in the design, development and maintenance of a competitive and cost effective pay plan throughout UAB. HR Compensation provides business units with Compensation Guidelines that cover all Workgroup A & F employees of UAB.  Compensation Guidelines for Workgroup C are provided by UAB Medicine Human Resources.  

Each business unit is responsible for the administration of the guidelines, addressing salary equity within the department and initiating recommendations for compensation adjustments.

Compensation Guidelines are not a binding agreement between the employee and UAB, but are intended to assist departments when making decisions relative to compensation.
