At UAB certain classifications require the use of standard uniforms. For these particular classifications where a standard uniform is required, in some cases, UAB will provide the uniform for the employee.

Uniform allowances should be discussed with the employee, reviewed by the department manager/supervisor and approved by the appropriate department head. 

HR Compensation should be consulted when department heads change or establish new Uniform Allowance policies and procedures.
