It is UAB's policy to protect the confidentiality of information concerning current and past employees and to release only designated types of information under limited circumstances.
In order to maintain a consistent policy throughout the University concerning the release of information, all calls or written requests to verify employment and wage information should be referred to UAB's authorized agent, The Work Number. The Work Number is a third party vendor that specializes in providing employment and wage information to internal and external requestors.
The Work Number will securely release the following information to verified third party requestors: - Whether an individual is currently employed at UAB
- Current or last job title
- Date if employment
- Current and historical wage and hours information
