Abstract:  This policy requires designated UAB students to maintain health insurance that meets established standards. Compliance may be achieved through enrollment in the UAB Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or by submitting proof of equivalent health insurance via an annual waiver and approval process as outlined below.
