The selection of the successful applicant is the responsibility of the hiring department. The department should notify Human Resources/Talent Acquisition as soon as a decision has been made, but before an offer has been extended. Human Resources/ Talent Acquisition will verify whether the hiring process has been appropriately followed and completed. Human Resources/ Talent Acquisition may notify other unsuccessful applicants who applied for a specific position but were not interviewed by the hiring manager via the applicant tracking system. Offers of Employment - University The official offer of employment or authorization to extend an offer is made by Human Resources/Talent Acquisition. After the offer has been accepted, a Letter of Offer will be generated by Human Resources/Talent Acquisition. The letter of offer will be sent directly to the new hire and to HR Records.
