The following was adopted by the Board of Regents at the meeting July 28-29, 1967:

 

  1. That the Board of Regents specifically deny the right to use the title "The University of Texas" or "University of Texas" in connection with any group or activity not directly associated with the UT System or one of its component institutions.

 

  1. That campus organizations and programs use the title "The University of Texas" or "University of Texas" only when there is a clear identity with official operation or approved academic programs of the institution.

 

  1. That each organization, office, or informal group proposing to use the name "The University of Texas" or "University of Texas" in its title first receive official approval of that use through proper channels.
